Nurse
The DCES Health Office will join with teachers, counselor, social worker and ancillary staff in providing holistic services that consider the whole child and their family and/or community in our delivery of care. Daily care and services such as health screenings, injury triage and our provision of band-aids and snacks comprise part of the health office daily routine. Additionally, the important work of case management and support of chronic illnesses, health questions, immunization review, health reports needed for programming (IEPs, etc) and in some way, provide a safe and comforting place to rest when things get hard to handle are also why we are here for your student and you!!
Nurse Office Hours
The health office staff is available everyday 7:30am to 2:30pm via telephone or email. In person office hours and availability align with our DCES's daily schedule. You may always stop by the front office to drop off medical orders, medication or any health items your student may need during their school day that align with their health plan. Alternatively, medical orders (see lower right column) may be faxed directly from your healthcare provider's office to 505-857-0107 or scanned/photographed and emailed to the nurse if dropping off paperwork is not possible.
DON'T FORGET to sign the Parent Permission line on any student medical orders!
Please always check back for more information or any updates. In the meantime, please email me at elizabeth.meek@aps.edu for any of your needs, I will be checking my email frequently throughout the day and will return messages asap.
