SCHOOL START TIMES

Please note that students are NOT allowed on the playground prior to 7:30am. The first bell rings at 7:46am and the tardy bell rings at 7:53am. The entire bell schedule is available below under the "Schedules and Calendars" tab.

IMPORTANT: Please notify your child's teacher (note in backpack, note in agenda, email, etc.) if their afternoon dismissal routine has changed.

On Friday May 11 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on the DCES field, please come out for our Spring Fling festivities. There will be jumpers, a climbing wall, photo booth, slime table, and cake walk.  Music will be provided by Mix 105.1.  Food vendors include Chick-fil-A, Papa John’s Pizza, Baskin & Robbins, and Kona Ice.

Free E-Books

Governor Susana Martinez has continued her initiative to provide a book for each of New Mexico’s first graders.  Accordingly, your school will be receiving a shipment of hardcover books for your incoming first graders for the 17/18 school year.  The book titles you receive may be one or more of the following fun, educational tales:  Deep in the Desert/En lo Profundo del Desierto, or T’1adoo naaltsoos wolta’7 bidilnih7!/Don’t Touch This Book!.

As part of this initiative, the publisher of Deep in the Desert/En lo Profundo del Desierto, Arbordale Publishing, is providing free access to 140 dual-language (English/Spanish), interactive eBooks for every elementary school student and their families through December 2018.
